Christian reviews of movies:

In 2011, the movie I reviewed was Courageous. And it was fantastic!!

The story line is about four men who are police officers. Scenes throughout the movie are action packed from law enforcement drama! But by the end of the day, these men go home and are dealing with family and fatherhood. Several of the men are Christians. They desire to have a good relationship with their children but can see they are drifting away.

I love how real this movie felt as I watched it. There is emotion like pain, sorrow, pride, embarrassment and strength. Real life! Sherwood Pictures does an excellent job of adding some enjoyable and superb humor that will make you laugh and laugh. Good humor without dropping Christian beliefs and morals. You will find yourself laughing, crying and cheering as you watch these every day heroes try and serve and protect their own children and their town.

When tradegy strikes home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith in God and their fathering abilites. Will these urgent issues draw these fathers to God and to their children or away from them Protecting the streets is second nature to these law enforcement officers. Raising their children in a God-honoring way is courageous!

Take a look at the Courageous movie trailer:

Courageous is the fourth movie relased by Sherwood Pictures. I also give great Christian reviews of movies that were done previously to this new 2011 movie. Their movies include:

  • Fireproof (Kirk Cameron stars in this movie healing a broken marriage )
  • Facing the Giant (A wonderful movie dealing with HS football and a discouraged coach and team efforts)
  • Flywheel (A great story about a car salesman. It is their first (low budget) movie produced by Sherwood Baptist Church with great Christian values throughout the movie)

Virtuous Woman VerseProverbs 31 is for the Christian who wants a description of a virtuous woman.  (Verse(s) 10-31) Her character as a wife is kind. She is diligent by her devotion as a Homemaker.  She is compassionate and shows generosity to her neighbor.  Her industrious ways demonstrate her devotion as a Homemaker. Her wisdom gives her the ability for her to influence as a Teacher. She is distinguished because of her effectiveness as a Mother. She is honored because of her excellence as a person.

Are you a rare and precious woman, disciplined, energetic, and trustworthy?  Do you manage your home? Are you  elegant, poised, and praiseworthy?  Do you  work joyfully, a good steward and prudent with money? Are you influential and God-fearing?

Look at this virtuous woman verse found in the Bible:

Proverbs 31:10-31

10 Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
12 She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
13 She seeks wool and flax,
And willingly works with her hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
She brings her food from afar.
15 She also rises while it is yet night,
And provides food for her household,
And a portion for her maidservants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
From her profits she plants a vineyard.
17 She girds herself with strength,
And strengthens her arms.
18 She perceives that her merchandise is good,
And her lamp does not go out by night.
19 She stretches out her hands to the distaff,
And her hand holds the spindle.
20 She extends her hand to the poor,
Yes, she reaches out her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of snow for her household,
For all her household is clothed with scarlet.
22 She makes tapestry for herself;
Her clothing is fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates,
When he sits among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
And supplies sashes for the merchants.
25 Strength and honor are her clothing;
She shall rejoice in time to come.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom,
And on her tongue is the law of kindness.
27 She watches over the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “ Many daughters have done well,
But you excel them all.”
30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
And let her own works praise her in the gates.

Ask the Lord to help YOU become this virtuous woman today!
