Recently at Calvary Chapel, I heard a message on our burdens. That made me think of mine: Adopting abused children from foster care. And yes, we are in the process of adopting from the state of Florida!! With my burden so great, God also gave us an opportunity to volunteer our time to help the Heart Gallery of Lane County in Oregon with search engine optimization! What a thrill to help get web pages optimized that will promote Oregon foster adoption. Heart Gallery is a non-profit organization that creates beautiful photographs of kids waiting for adoption. Many kids have special needs and many are older teens. These kids are the last to find a permanent home and some of them never do. 
Adopting abused children is a burden that I have had for a few years. The Bible says:
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. – James 1:27
